Radius Zoom H6 Mini Windcover
Radius Zoom H6 Mini Windcover | A simple way to shield your microphone from wind
Without a windcover, moving air can get in the way of clear microphone recording, especially outdoors. The Radius Zoom H6 Mini Windcover is a small-format windcover named for the Zoom H6, for people who want a straightforward way to help protect their recording from wind. It’s relevant for spoken-word work such as interviews or location notes, and for recording ambient sound where a breeze might otherwise distract from the result. Fit the cover before you start recording, then listen back to check that the wind is no longer the most prominent sound. A windcover can help with air hitting the microphone, but it can’t quiet traffic, voices or other sounds around you. That’s the useful distinction: this is a focused accessory for wind, not a fix for every outdoor recording problem. If you use a Zoom H6 and want a compact windcover option, this is a product name that points directly to that use.
Specialist Note
“Is the Radius Zoom H6 Mini Windcover meant for the Zoom H6?” Yes—the recorder is named right in the product title, so it’s the one I’d consider it for. The word “Mini” also tells you this is the smaller-format option, which makes sense when you want to keep your wind protection compact rather than bring a bulky setup. I’d use it for an outdoor interview or a spoken note: put the cover on before recording, and choose a position sheltered from the strongest gusts if you can. It’s a specific answer to wind on the microphone; it won’t remove other background noise, so keep that in mind when choosing a recording spot.
