Dulens ATP35B-PL APO Triassic Prime 35 T2.8 PL Mnt Color: Black

Dulens ATP35B-PL APO Triassic Prime 35 T2.8 PL Mnt Color: Black | A fixed prime for PL-mount cinema setups

When a production is built around PL-mount lenses, a prime with a clear place in the setup can keep lens choices straightforward. The Dulens ATP35B-PL APO Triassic Prime is a black cinema lens with a 35mm focal length and a T2.8 aperture. It suits filmmakers and camera crews who want a fixed focal length for planned shots rather than the convenience of zooming between framings. That makes it a practical option for dialogue coverage, composed details or scenes where the camera position is part of the visual plan. The T2.8 marking gives you a specific aperture setting to work from when setting exposure; it isn't a promise of any particular look or low-light performance. Its PL mount is the key fit detail, so it belongs in a setup designed around that mount. The product name also identifies it as an APO Triassic Prime.

Working with a fixed prime

With a prime, the framing decision belongs to the camera position: set your distance first, then make small adjustments to composition by repositioning the camera. That approach suits controlled coverage, where you can repeat a setup, and insert shots where the frame needs to be chosen deliberately. If your scene calls for quick framing changes from one stationary camera position, a zoom is the more direct tool. This lens is better suited to a considered, fixed-focal-length approach.
