DJI’s mapping-first camera setup gives the Mavic 3 Enterprise a 4/3 CMOS sensor, chosen to capture detailed aerial images for professional fieldwork. The drone pairs a 20MP wide camera with a 12MP telephoto camera, so a survey can include both broad site coverage and closer views of features that need checking. That makes it a useful tool for land measurement, infrastructure inspection and surveillance, where the work calls for more than general aerial footage. The wide camera records the overall layout of a site, while the second camera brings distant details into view without requiring the aircraft to fly close to the subject. For mapping teams, the camera system is supported by fast image capture and optional RTK positioning support. For inspection crews, the telephoto reach, stabilised gimbal and obstacle sensing are relevant tools when documenting buildings or equipment from the air. It also records video up to 4K at 30 frames per second, so the same aircraft can gather moving footage alongside still images. This is a purpose-built enterprise platform: its strongest case is the combination of mapping and inspection features in a foldable Mavic format.

• Mechanical and electronic shutters: The mechanical shutter runs from 8 seconds to 1/2000 second, while the electronic shutter reaches 1/8000 second. The mechanical option is useful for land surveys where the aircraft is moving and sharp frames matter.
• Fast image intervals: Capture images at intervals as short as 0.7 seconds. That rapid sequence suits survey routes that need frequent frames along the flight path.
• RTK and multi-system GNSS support: The RTK module supports network RTK, and the GNSS receiver works with the major satellite navigation systems. These positioning options are intended for teams collecting location-aware mapping data.
• Up to 45 minutes of flight time: The Intelligent Flight Battery supports extended field sessions between battery changes. The supplied 100W charger takes about 70 minutes to recharge it fully.
• RC Pro Enterprise controller: O3 transmission supports control at distances of up to 15 km. Its 1,000-nit screen is made for viewing the live image in bright outdoor conditions.
• Omnidirectional obstacle sensing: Six fish-eye sensors monitor the aircraft’s surroundings, while ADS-B alerts can warn of nearby traditional aircraft. These systems add awareness during flights around working sites.

Good to know

The Mavic 3 Enterprise works with several DJI software tools. Pilot 2 presents flight and navigation information and supports different route types; FlightHub 2 adds cloud-based live notes and mapping, while Terra processes 2D and 3D models. A built-in microphone can play a spoken message, including on a loop, for tasks such as search and rescue. Return-to-home plans a route back to the launch point.
