PDMovie Live Pro - Single Channel - Contr - PDL
PDMovie Live Pro - Single Channel - Contr - PDL | Simple off-camera flash triggering
Trying to light a subject with a flash placed away from the camera can be awkward if you don't have a way to trigger it from where you're working. The PDMovie Live Pro - Single Channel - Contr - PDL is a flash trigger and transmitter for firing off-camera flashes. It gives you a way to trigger the flash while you concentrate on the subject and where the light falls. This suits photographers making portraits or product shots who want to position their flash separately from the camera. For a portrait, place the flash to one side to bring shape across the face; for a product image, move the light to reveal the object's form. The product's single-channel designation is worth keeping in mind when considering how you want to organise a lighting setup. Its purpose is focused: trigger an off-camera flash for the kind of work where the direction of light matters. If that's the task you need to solve, this transmitter gives you a direct tool for it.
Specialist Note
The single-channel format is a limit to keep in mind if your setup depends on having more than one channel available. For a straightforward portrait or product-lighting job, though, the stated role is clear: this is a transmitter for firing an off-camera flash. I’d use it to trigger a flash positioned to the side of a portrait subject, or to fire a repositioned light while shaping illumination across a small product. That gives you room to work with the direction of the light instead of keeping the flash at the camera. It suits someone who wants that simple trigger function, rather than choosing on the assumption of a multi-channel setup.
