DJI Osmo Pocket 3 combines a 1-inch CMOS sensor with a handheld gimbal stabiliser in a compact camera. It’s made for vloggers and anyone filming while on the move, from a walking introduction to a video diary on a busy day. The large sensor records 4K video at up to 120 frames per second, so you can capture detailed footage and slow motion with the same small camera. That makes it a handy option for travel clips, moving subjects and pieces to camera where carrying a larger setup would get in the way. The 2-inch OLED screen rotates between portrait and landscape orientation, giving you a clear view of the framing for vertical social video as well as widescreen footage. You can also use the Pocket 3 for stills, with a maximum resolution of 9.4 megapixels. Its appeal is the combination of a proper gimbal, a large sensor and a screen that adapts to how you’re recording, all in a pocket-sized form. Steady video on the move

• Subject tracking: ActiveTrack 6.0 works with Face Auto-Detect and Dynamic Framing to follow people and keep them positioned in the frame. It’s useful when you’re presenting to camera or moving alongside a subject.
• Three built-in microphones: The camera has three microphones onboard, so audio capture is part of the compact unit rather than an extra item in the box.
• 20mm f/2.0 lens: The lens combines a 20mm focal length with an f/2.0 aperture, a useful pairing for close-to-camera vlogging and scenes with less available light.
• Battery and fast charging: The stated battery life is up to 166 minutes. Fast charging brings it to 80% in 16 minutes, with a full charge taking 32 minutes.
• MicroSD recording: Footage is stored on a microSD card, with support for cards up to 512GB. That gives you space to record longer sessions before transferring files.
• Gimbal movement: The stabiliser moves across pan, tilt and roll axes, with specified mechanical rotation ranges for each. This supports controlled camera movement while you’re filming on foot.
