Hama Objectiefdeksel Smart-Snap w/ Houder 77 mm
Hama Smart-Snap Lens Cap with Holder 77 mm | Keep your lens front covered
The Hama Smart-Snap is a straightforward way to cover the front of a lens with a 77 mm fitting, with a holder to help keep the cap close by when it’s off. It suits photographers who want a simple cover for the lens between shots, especially when they’re regularly taking the cap off and putting it back on. The main benefit is practical: cover the lens when you’re not shooting, then keep the cap with you rather than setting it down somewhere. Choose it for a lens that takes a 77 mm cap; the size is the key detail when matching it to your equipment. It’s a focused accessory, not a pouch or a general storage solution. The supplier lists this version in black, so it keeps to a discreet look alongside your camera gear.
Using the cap
Fit the cap when the lens is stored or between photographs, and take it off before shooting. The holder is useful when the cap needs to come off briefly: it gives you a way to keep it close instead of leaving it on a nearby surface. That makes the Smart-Snap especially relevant for a camera routine with frequent pauses and starts. Match the 77 mm size to the lens opening rather than choosing by camera body; the cap is intended for the lens front.
Specialist Note
The Hama Smart-Snap Lens Cap with Holder 77 mm does its best job keeping a 77 mm lens front covered between shots. I’d point it out to someone who often removes the cap during a walk or while changing their framing: use the holder to keep the cap close, then cover the lens again when you pause. The 77 mm measurement is the important buying detail, so match it to the lens rather than the camera. It’s a simple accessory with a clear role; it won’t replace a bag or provide broader protection for a packed lens.
