Comica CVM-V01SP (UC) Pin Microphone USB-C (2.5m) | Keep speech close on camera

For a spoken clip where the speaker needs to move naturally, a pin microphone lets you place the mic close to the voice instead of relying on a recording device farther away. The Comica CVM-V01SP (UC) is a wired pin microphone with a USB-C connection and a 2.5-metre cable. It suits creators making pieces to camera, interviews, lessons or voice messages on equipment with a USB-C microphone input. Position the mic near the speaker and you can frame a wider shot without holding the device close to them. Its strongest use is recording speech in a seated or gently moving setup, where keeping the microphone near the person speaking matters. The wired connection makes for a direct setup, but it does mean you’ll need to keep the cable’s reach in mind when planning movement.

Specialist Note

A recording device across the room can leave the speaker’s voice sounding far away; this mic lets you place it closer to the person talking. The 2.5-metre cable gives you room to set a recording device on a stand while staying in frame for a short lesson or seated interview. I’d connect it to equipment with a USB-C microphone input, then position the mic near the speaker before framing the shot. That keeps the setup simple and leaves your hands free. It’s a good fit for someone recording direct-to-camera speech, but the cable does set a limit on how far the speaker can move.
