Boya Desktop Stand Magic Microphone | Compact support for desk recording
A podcast microphone, a laptop and a limited amount of desk space are a familiar setup for home recording. The Boya Desktop Stand Magic Microphone is a foldable desktop stand that keeps a microphone or other light accessory supported on the desk, with a compact folded length of 140 mm. It’s a handy companion to the Boya Magic and suits podcast recording, online meetings and video calls. The stand also has a removable top section, so its setup can accommodate more than a microphone alone: there’s a cold shoe adapter for a camera and a side slot for a camera receiver. For creators who move between a home desk and a meeting space, the folding design keeps the stand easy to pack away between sessions. Its small format is useful when you want a dedicated support for light recording gear without bringing a full-sized stand into the setup.
Stand Features
- 360° ball joint: Adjust the angle smoothly, then use the side locking knob to hold the position for your recording or call.
- Removable cold shoe top: The top section has a cold shoe adapter for mounting a camera, adding another option to a compact desk setup.
- Receiver slot: A slot on the side of the top section accommodates a camera receiver, keeping it with the stand setup.
- 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch connections: The stand suits light microphones, cameras and accessories with either of these fittings.
- Foldable ABS construction: It folds down to 140 mm for storage or transport. Silicone feet help keep it steady on the desk.
Specialist Note
At 107 grams, this stand is light enough to tuck into a recording bag without adding much bulk. I’d recommend it for someone who records a podcast at a desk or needs a steady microphone position for video meetings: place it beside the computer, then use the ball joint and locking knob to aim the mic where you need it. The extended dimensions are 135 mm across and 95 mm high, so it stays a compact desktop support rather than a tall stand. It’s intended for light gear, so I’d keep heavier equipment off it. For a small Boya Magic setup, its compact format makes particular sense.
