SmallRig 5390 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Handle For Sigma BF (Silver)
SmallRig 5390 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Handle For Sigma BF (Silver) | More support for handheld video
Handheld video can be awkward when you want a steadier hold but don’t want to manage a loose camera and separate support. The SmallRig 5390 is a shoulder rig for the Sigma BF, combining an L-shaped mount plate with a handle to give your setup a more supported way to work. It’s intended for handheld video, so it suits Sigma BF owners who record clips and want something to hold onto as they operate the camera. The plate and handle are the point here: this isn’t a general-purpose tripod, but a rig built around supporting handheld use. Its silver finish gives the setup a distinct look. If your priority is a compact, straightforward way to add support while filming, this product has a clear role. It’s best considered as a dedicated handheld-video accessory for the Sigma BF, rather than a solution for every kind of camera support.
Specialist Note
For a one-person handheld video setup, I’d look at the SmallRig 5390 when holding the Sigma BF directly feels like too little support for a longer take. The L-shaped plate gives the rig its supporting form around the camera, while the separate handle gives you a place to hold as you film; that’s a practical pairing for recording a short interview or a moving point-of-view clip. I’d keep the decision focused on that handheld use, rather than buying it for general tripod work. The silver finish is a visual detail, not a performance feature. If you mostly photograph stills or want support without holding the camera, this shoulder rig may not be the right fit.
