Falcon Eyes Metalen Kleppenset BD-DS811 For DS-811

Falcon Eyes Metal Barn Door Set BD-DS811 for DS-811 | Shape the light from your DS-811

When light spreads farther than you want, it can be difficult to keep it off nearby parts of a scene. The Falcon Eyes BD-DS811 is a metal barn door set for the DS-811, giving you a way to shape the light coming from that unit. It suits photographers who already use a DS-811 and want more say over where its light falls. The appeal is straightforward: barn doors let you adjust the edges of the beam, rather than relying on the light to fall broadly across the scene. That can help when you want to direct light towards a particular area or reduce spill around it. This is a focused accessory, not a general-purpose lighting modifier; its stated fit is the DS-811. If that’s the unit in your setup, the BD-DS811 is the set to look at when controlling the spread of its light is your aim.

For more deliberate light placement

Think of the flaps as a way to make small adjustments to the lit area: open them wider for a broader spread, or bring them in to narrow where the light reaches. The exact result depends on how you position them and on the scene in front of the light. That hands-on control is the practical reason to add a barn door set to a lighting setup. You can make the beam’s edges more intentional, rather than treating the DS-811’s light as one fixed patch. The set is identified for the DS-811, so its role is clear: it gives that unit a barn-door option for shaping light.
