Viltrox AF 50mm f/2.0 Nikon Z

Viltrox AF 50mm f/2.0 Nikon Z | A bright prime for portraits and street

The defining choice is a 50mm focal length with a maximum aperture of f/2: it gives this standard prime a familiar, versatile angle of view while letting in more light when conditions get dim. The Viltrox AF 50mm f/2.0 is an interchangeable lens for Nikon Z cameras, with autofocus for keeping everyday shooting straightforward. It suits photographers who want one fixed focal length for street scenes, travel and portraits, rather than a zoom covering many views. The 50mm perspective works well when you want to include some of a person’s surroundings without making them feel distant, and f/2 gives you room to work in softer available light. It’s a practical fit for a small, deliberate kit: choose your framing by moving, and let the autofocus help you catch the moment.

Framing on Nikon Z DX bodies

On a Nikon Z DX (APS-C) body, this lens gives a field of view equivalent to 75mm on full frame. That tighter framing can be handy for portraits, where you may want to keep attention on a face, or for picking out a detail in a street scene. The fixed focal length asks you to work with that view: step closer or farther away to change your composition.
