Filmsticks Tiny 6 All Weather Resin Clapper Sticks w/ Greyscale Laminate

Filmsticks Tiny 6 All Weather Resin Clapper Sticks w/ Greyscale Laminate | A clear clap for slate work

Getting a clean sync point on a take can be fiddly when the slate action needs to be clear and easy to identify. These Filmsticks clapper sticks are made for that job, with a greyscale laminate and an all-weather resin construction. They suit film and video crews who use clapper sticks as part of their slate workflow, and are especially relevant when the sticks may be used in changing weather. The name is specific: Tiny 6. That identifies the product, but I wouldn’t read it as a measurement without more information. What you can tell from the title is that this is a resin set of clapper sticks with a greyscale laminate, intended for all-weather use. It’s a focused piece of set equipment rather than a general studio accessory, and its value is in having the right tool to hand when a take needs its slate action.

For slate work

A clapper action gives the crew and editor a recognisable point at the start of a take: the sticks come together, creating a moment that can be matched between the picture and the recorded sound. That makes the clapper sticks part of a practical routine, not decoration. The greyscale laminate is the defining surface detail in this version, while the all-weather wording points to use beyond a strictly controlled indoor setting. If you’re choosing between versions, those are the details to weigh up: the Tiny 6 designation, resin construction and greyscale laminate. There’s no need to dress that up as a list of extra capabilities. It’s a specific clapper-stick option for crews who want this combination in their slate kit.
