TTArtisan AF 75mm f/2.0 Pana/Leica/Sigma L-Mount (Full Frame) | A short telephoto for portraits and events

The defining choice here is a 75mm focal length: it gives portraits and event photographs a tighter view than a standard lens, without moving into long-telephoto territory. That makes this TTArtisan a short telephoto prime for photographers who want to frame people with some distance between themselves and their subject. Its f/2 maximum aperture is useful when light levels drop, and can help separate a person from the background. The lens is made for full-frame Leica L-mount cameras and uses autofocus, which is handy when your subject is moving or a moment is brief. Its 32° angle of view gives you a fairly focused frame, so it’s well suited to individual portraits, candid moments and event details. If you often work in cramped rooms, the 75mm framing may call for more space to step back.

Specialist Note

Portrait photographers and event shooters who like to work from a little distance are the natural match for this 75mm. For a portrait, try f/2 when you want your subject to draw attention against a softer-looking background; autofocus helps when expressions change quickly. At an event, I’d start around 1/250 sec for people who are moving, then raise ISO as needed to keep that shutter speed in dimmer light. The full-frame format gives you the intended 75mm framing on a full-frame L-mount body. One practical limit: indoors, that tighter view can make group shots awkward if you can’t step back.
