SWIT S-7005A S-7005A | V-Mount To Gold Mount Plate
SWIT S-7005A V-Mount to Gold Mount Plate | A bridge between mount types
On a tripod-based rig, you can run into a simple mismatch: one part of the setup uses V-Mount, while another calls for Gold Mount. The SWIT S-7005A is a tripod accessory plate for bridging those mounting formats. Its purpose is specific: to provide a V-Mount-to-Gold-Mount connection within a rig. It’s aimed at camera crews and video operators whose equipment uses these two standards and who need the mounting arrangement to match. This is a practical part to consider when planning a rig or adapting one for a different mounting requirement. It doesn’t replace the tripod or serve as a battery; it addresses the mount interface itself. If your setup needs this particular link, the S-7005A has a clear and focused role.
Specialist Note
The S-7005A provides a dedicated bridge between V-Mount and Gold Mount on a tripod rig, so you can plan around the connection instead of working around a mount mismatch. As a tripod accessory, it belongs in the rig’s mounting plan, not in the role of a battery or support head. It suits operators bringing equipment with both mount formats into one setup. For instance, use it when adapting a tripod-based rig so the V-Mount and Gold Mount sides can connect through the plate. Its job is deliberately specific: it’s a good fit when that exact connection is what your build needs, but it won’t address unrelated rig-fit requirements.
