Caruba Rubber Dekplaat (60 mm) - w/ 3/8" Uitsparing
Caruba Rubber Dekplaat (60 mm) - w/ 3/8" Uitsparing | A compact rubber interface for tripod setups
For a tripod setup that needs a small rubber contact surface instead of a bare, hard interface, the Caruba Rubber Dekplaat (60 mm) - w/ 3/8" Uitsparing gives you a compact plate with a defined cut-out. It’s a tripod accessory for photographers assembling a setup where that particular size and opening suit the connection they need. The 60 mm diameter keeps the plate modest in size, while the 3/8-inch recess is part of its design rather than an alteration you need to make yourself. That makes it relevant for a carefully matched tripod arrangement, including compact setups where space around the connection matters. The useful point here is specificity: this isn’t a large platform or a general-purpose tripod head, but a rubber deck plate with a stated diameter and recess. If those dimensions suit your arrangement, it gives you a straightforward way to include a rubber surface at the interface.
Specialist Note
This plate replaces the improvised rubber pad when your tripod setup calls for a defined 3/8-inch recess. I’d point it out to someone assembling a compact support arrangement who needs that specific opening, rather than a broad plate or an adjustable head. At 60 mm across, it keeps the contact area contained; that can be handy for a small tabletop product setup where you want to keep the support assembly compact. The rubber gives you a softer contact surface than a bare hard plate, but the small diameter is also its limit: it isn’t intended as a wide platform. Match the recess to the part in your setup, and this accessory has a clear, focused job.
