It’s intended for photographers and artists making prints where the paper itself is part of the finished work. The A2 format gives you a large sheet to plan around, while the silk finish offers a clear starting point when choosing the look of a print. This pack contains 25 sheets, a practical quantity for a small print run or a set of images you want to present together. The honest point to keep in mind is that paper choice is personal: a surface that suits one image may not suit another. If you’re deciding between papers, consider the size and appearance you want for the finished print first. This one brings those choices together in a defined format, weight and surface.

Choosing a paper for a finished print

It helps to picture the print at its intended size before committing to a paper. Think about how the image will be viewed, how much space it needs around the edges, and whether the surface fits the way you want the work to feel. Those are decisions about your image and presentation, rather than claims about what a particular sheet will do. The product name gives you concrete details to weigh against that plan: a silk surface, a substantial paper weight, and an A2 sheet size. The 25-sheet pack also gives you a set amount to plan a project around. For a group of prints, you can decide in advance how many sheets to set aside for each image; for a single print, you can consider the remaining sheets for further work. If A2 is the finished size you have in mind and silk is the surface you want, this Ilford paper is a clearly specified option to consider.

Technical Specifications

Paper: Ilford GP FineArt Text Silk

Weight: 270 gsm

Size: A2, 420 × 594 mm

Quantity: 25 sheets
