The SWIT S-7000A is a Gold Mount plate with a D-Tap output socket, bringing those two connection points together in one tripod accessory. It suits camera operators and crew building a rig around Gold Mount power who want a place to mount that battery system and take a D-Tap connection from the plate. That can make it easier to plan where power enters the setup and where a compatible D-Tap device connects, rather than treating the plate and output as unrelated parts of the rig. Its purpose is specific: it provides a mounting plate and an output socket, rather than being a battery or a complete power system. If you’re organising power around a tripod setup, the S-7000A gives you a clear point to build from.

Specialist Note

“Can I take D-Tap power from this plate?” Yes—the S-7000A has a D-Tap output socket, so you can connect a compatible D-Tap device at the plate. I’d consider it for a tripod-centred setup where keeping the power connection close to the Gold Mount plate makes cable routing easier to plan. As a tripod accessory, it’s aimed at a rig built around that kind of support, rather than adding features to a camera body. One practical point: the plate itself isn’t a battery, so you’ll need a suitable Gold Mount power source and the right D-Tap connection for the device you want to run. It’s a focused piece of kit, which is exactly the appeal if that’s the connection your setup needs.

Technical Specifications

Product: SWIT S-7000A

Category: Tripod accessory

Plate: Gold Mount

Output socket: D-Tap
