The Samyang 50mm T1.5 AS UMC VDSLR is a fast manual prime designed with filmmakers and videographers in mind. Its bright T1.5 maximum aperture makes it a strong choice for low-light shooting and precise depth-of-field control, while the 8-blade diaphragm helps create smooth, attractive bokeh.
Built for video workflows, this lens features geared focus and aperture rings for use with a follow-focus system. The de-clicked aperture ring allows for seamless iris adjustments, and the side-printed markings for aperture and distance make operation easier during shooting. Internal focusing helps reduce focus breathing, keeping the framing more consistent as you adjust focus.
Optically, the lens uses 9 elements in 6 groups, including one aspherical and one hybrid aspherical element to help minimize aberrations. Multi-coating improves light transmission and reduces flare and ghosting, supporting clean, contrast-rich images.
