GGS SCS-02 Silk Scarf Strap
GGS SCS-02 Silk Scarf Strap - A silk scarf that wraps around your camera
A camera strap that has to stay on your camera isn't much use when you want to wear something different or pack the camera away. The GGS SCS-02 Silk Scarf Strap is made from soft silk and changes between a scarf, a camera wrap and a carrying strap. Its leopard-print design makes it an accessory to wear around your neck, while the same piece of silk can wrap around a small camera for storage. For carrying, join the attachment loops to form a strap and keep the camera close at hand. The SCS-02 is described as suitable for small DSLR and mirrorless cameras, so it’s aimed at compact camera setups rather than larger bodies. It’s a distinctive option for someone who likes the idea of a camera accessory that has a place in their outfit as well as a role in carrying or wrapping their camera.
Three Ways to Wear and Carry
- Soft silk scarf: The scarf form is wearable when you’re not carrying your camera. The leopard print gives the accessory a clear, patterned look.
- Wrap for camera storage: Use the silk as a wrapping case around a small camera when it needs to be put away. It’s a flexible alternative to leaving a separate wrap in your bag.
- Joined loops make a strap: Connect the attachment loops to create a carry strap for keeping your camera close at hand. The strap arrangement is part of the same convertible design.
- Buckle closures on the loops: The attachment loops use buckles to close around the camera’s attachment points. That gives the strap its fastening system without adding a separate conventional strap to the design.
- For small DSLR and mirrorless cameras: The stated compatibility is limited to smaller bodies in these two camera types. Keep that size guidance in mind when choosing this scarf strap for your camera.
Specialist Note
“Can I wear this as a scarf and still use it to carry my camera?” Yes—the SCS-02 is made to do both, with silk that works as a scarf or as a camera wrap. I’d consider it for someone carrying a small DSLR or mirrorless camera who likes an accessory with more than one role. Wear the leopard-print scarf when the camera is put away, or connect the buckle-fitted loops to make a strap and keep the camera close by. The size guidance matters: this is for small cameras, so it’s not the scarf strap I’d choose for a larger body.
