Canon Protecting Cloth PC-2

Canon Protecting Cloth PC-2 | A simple layer of protection for your camera gear

Keep your camera gear covered between outings with the Canon Protecting Cloth PC-2, a black cloth intended to help protect equipment. It suits photographers who want a straightforward way to place a protective layer around gear when packing it away or carrying it with other items. The appeal is its simplicity: no complicated setup, just a cloth for the practical moments when equipment needs a little separation. That makes it most useful as part of your packing routine, rather than as a specialist cleaning tool. The name points to protection, so I’d use it to help keep gear covered in storage or while travelling. If you’re looking for a cloth specifically to clean a lens or screen, this product’s stated purpose is different.

A straightforward addition to your kit

There’s something reassuring about a small, uncomplicated accessory that has one clear job. The PC-2 is for photographers who prefer to take a little care when putting equipment away, especially when several items share a camera bag or storage space. You can make it part of the routine: cover the gear before packing, then take the cloth out again when you’re ready to use the equipment. That’s a modest role, but a useful one when you want to avoid equipment rubbing directly against other packed items. Its black colour keeps the look discreet. The honest point is that a cloth is only one part of careful handling; it doesn’t replace sensible packing or a suitable bag. For a simple protective layer from Canon, though, the PC-2 keeps the approach uncomplicated.
