Yongnuo Flash Light Yongnuo YN685 II For Canon
Yongnuo Flash Light Yongnuo YN685 II For Canon | Extra light for tricky scenes
Without a flash, indoor portraits and event photos have to rely on the light already in the room, while harsh sun can leave faces in deep shadow. The Yongnuo YN685 II for Canon is a speedlight flash for adding light when those conditions get in the way. It suits Canon photographers who cover gatherings, make portraits indoors, or want a way to lift shadows outdoors in strong sunlight. Its strongest role is practical extra light: indoors, it can help make a person easier to see when ambient light is low; outside, it can add fill to a face while the sun still gives the scene its direction. For events, it gives you another option when the available light isn’t enough. This is a focused flash tool, so it makes most sense when those are situations you regularly photograph.
Specialist Note
“Is the YN685 II for Canon a speedlight for portraits and events?” Yes—it’s a Canon speedlight, and I’d consider it for exactly those jobs. For an indoor portrait, use the flash to add light to your subject when the room is dim; at an event, it gives you a way to add light when the available light falls short. In harsh sun, use it as fill on a face to soften the effect of deep shadows while keeping the daylight in the scene. One honest point: it adds flash light, but it can’t change the room or the weather, so good positioning still matters.
