Caruba Pro Grid For Quick Softbox MkII 120cm

Caruba Pro Grid For Quick Softbox MkII 120cm | Shape light from your 120cm softbox

Its named pairing is the useful detail: this Caruba Pro Grid is made for the Quick Softbox MkII in 120cm. If you already use that softbox and want to direct its light more selectively, this is the grid to consider. A grid narrows the spread of light, helping keep illumination focused on the part of a scene you want to light rather than spreading it as broadly. That can be handy for portraits or still-life setups where light falling onto the background is distracting. The 120cm size also makes the intended softbox clear at a glance, which is helpful when you’re choosing an accessory for a particular setup. It’s a specific pairing, rather than a grid described simply by size. If you work with the Quick Softbox MkII 120cm, the product name gives you a straightforward starting point.

Made for a specific setup

This grid makes the most sense for photographers who already have the named Caruba softbox in their lighting kit. Its purpose is practical: use a grid when you want the softbox’s light to fall within a more limited area. For example, you might want your subject lit while keeping a nearby wall or background darker. The effect depends on your subject, room and placement, so it’s best thought of as a way to shape the light, not as a promise of a particular look.

There’s no guesswork about the size stated in the product name: it’s for the 120cm version of the Quick Softbox MkII. That specificity is a real advantage when your kit includes more than one softbox. Before adding it to a setup, match the product name to the softbox you use; the title points to one particular model and size. If that’s the softbox on your stand, this grid gives you a more controlled way to work with its light. If you’re looking for a grid for a different softbox, this product name doesn’t point to that pairing.
