Godox Grid For R1200 Ring Flash Reflector 5mm
Godox Grid For R1200 Ring Flash Reflector 5mm | Keep light more directed
For keeping light from spreading as widely, a grid gives you a more directed look with the Godox R1200 ring flash reflector. The Godox Grid For R1200 Ring Flash Reflector 5mm is the 5mm version, made for use with that reflector. It suits photographers who want to bring more control to portraits or close-up product images, where light spilling onto nearby areas can distract from the subject. A grid helps concentrate the light, so you can shape how the reflector affects the scene rather than relying on its broad, open output. It’s a focused accessory for a specific lighting setup, not a general-purpose modifier. If your work already uses the R1200 ring flash reflector and you want a more contained pool of light, this grid is a straightforward way to pursue that look.
Specialist Note
This grid gives the R1200 ring flash reflector a more directed job than simply lighting everything in front of it. The R1200 reference is important: this is a grid for that reflector, so it makes sense when that’s already part of your lighting setup. The 5mm designation identifies this particular version; keep that detail in mind when selecting the grid for your intended setup. For a portrait, use the grid when you want the light to stay more focused around your subject; for a small product, aim it to keep spill off the surrounding surface. It’s a specialised accessory, so its value depends on wanting that tighter light control.
