Falcon Eyes C-Stand w/ Boomarm CS-2450 245cm

Falcon Eyes C-Stand w/ Boomarm CS-2450 245cm | Off-axis light placement

Most simple lighting setups put a lamp directly above its stand; a boom arm gives you another way to position it. The Falcon Eyes C-Stand with boom arm is for photographers and lighting crews who want to place a light away from the stand’s upright, rather than have the stand sit directly beneath it. Its 245 cm size gives you a specific reference point when planning where it will fit in a room or studio. This kind of stand is especially relevant for arranging light around a subject or keeping the stand out of a chosen camera angle. It’s a straightforward piece of studio support, not a lighting effect in itself: the value is in where you can place the light. If your setup calls for a light positioned off to one side, the boom arm is the detail that makes this C-stand worth considering.

Think about the intended position of the light before placing the stand. The arm’s direction matters as much as the stand’s position, particularly in a compact space where people need to move around the setup. That bit of planning can help you decide whether a C-stand with a boom arm suits the job better than a stand placed directly under the light. It’s also a useful distinction when you’re sketching a setup in advance: decide where you want the light, then consider where the stand can sit without getting in the way of the frame or the working area. The product name identifies this as the CS-2450, so it’s easy to refer to when comparing stand options or discussing a setup with your crew. Choose it for a setup where off-axis placement is the point; if you simply need a stand directly beneath a light, the boom arm may not be the feature you need.
