Westcott Float Wall Mount Light Stand Hanger By Lindsay Adler

Westcott Float Wall Mount Light Stand Hanger By Lindsay Adler | A wall-mounted place for your light stand

Without a dedicated spot, a light stand often ends up leaning in a corner or left where it was last used. The Westcott Float Wall Mount Light Stand Hanger by Lindsay Adler gives a stand a place on the wall when it’s not in use. It suits photographers and studios that use light stands and want a more deliberate way to store one between sessions. Its role is specific: it’s a wall-mounted hanger for a light stand, rather than a way to position lighting during a shoot. That makes it worth considering if you have a suitable wall area and want the stand stored off the floor. The “Float” name and Lindsay Adler attribution identify this particular Westcott design. The appeal is straightforward: a dedicated storage point for a piece of equipment that can otherwise be awkward to put away.

Consider it for your studio routine

A wall hanger makes sense when you have a regular place for your lighting gear and want the stand to return there after a session. It can make the storage arrangement feel more intentional than simply leaning the stand against a wall. The benefit is less about changing how you light a scene and more about deciding where the stand belongs when the shoot is over.

Before choosing any wall-mounted storage, think about where you’d want the stand to live and how that location fits your usual setup routine. This product is named for one clear purpose: hanging a light stand from a wall. If that’s the storage approach you’re after, the Westcott Float is a focused option to consider. It won’t replace the stand or do the work of a lighting accessory; its job is to give the stand a designated place between uses.
