7Artisans 25mm f/0.95 Canon EOS-R-Mount | APS-C | Black | Fast, bright framing for street scenes

The defining design choice is the very bright f/0.95 maximum aperture: it lets this 25mm prime gather plenty of light and create a shallow-focus look when you want a subject to stand apart from a busy background. On an APS-C Canon RF setup, the view feels natural for everyday scenes. Its 59° angle of view takes in the setting without making it feel overly broad. That makes it well suited to street photography and travel, where you might want a person, a café detail or a passing moment to remain the focus while the place around them still reads in the frame. This interchangeable lens suits photographers who enjoy setting focus themselves and shaping each frame deliberately. The 25mm perspective is versatile enough for everyday scenes, rather than being limited to one narrow type of subject.

Specialist Note

Manual focus asks you to choose the point of sharpness yourself, so give yourself a beat before a passing cyclist or street portrait instead of expecting the lens to track the subject. The f/0.95 maximum aperture is useful as light fades: for a still street scene, open it fully and try around 1/125 sec, adjusting ISO to suit the light. For a moving subject, 1/250 sec is a sensible starting point, with careful focusing. On a Canon APS-C RF-S body, its 25mm view gives roughly the same framing as a 40mm lens on full frame, handy for travel details and environmental portraits. I’d recommend it to someone who enjoys a deliberate pace. At f/0.95, focus needs care, so patience pays off.
