Kodak Eastman Kodak Kodacolor 200 135-36 | A 36-frame colour film roll

When you’re heading out with a film camera and want a roll with a clear frame count, Kodak Kodacolor 200 135-36 gives you 36 frames to work with. It’s a colour film roll, identified by Kodak’s Kodacolor 200 name and the 135-36 designation. That’s the useful information at a glance: you can plan around a single roll rather than guess how many pictures it contains. It suits photographers who enjoy making pictures on film and want a straightforward roll for an outing, a day of snapshots or a small personal project. The honest limitation is that the name alone doesn’t tell you how a particular scene will look; your light and the way you expose each frame still matter. If you like taking a moment before pressing the shutter, the 36-frame count gives the roll a natural pace.

Planning a roll

Thirty-six frames is enough to make a set of pictures from a walk or event, while still giving you a reason to be selective. You might use a few frames on the way there, save some for the main subject and leave room for details you notice as you go. Or simply keep the roll for everyday photographs and let the pictures build up over time. That’s a practical way to approach this particular roll: the frame count is easy to keep in mind, so you can decide whether to take another picture or hold one back. Kodacolor 200 is the product name to look for when you want this specific film, and 135-36 is its roll designation. Keep those details together when choosing film for a planned shoot; they give you a simple reference without making claims about how the finished photographs will render.
