HP Smart Tank 7605 4800x1200 28PPM PRNT

HP Smart Tank 7605 | Photo printing with speed in view

The defining choice in the HP Smart Tank 7605 is the combination of a stated 4800x1200 print resolution and a 28PPM speed figure. That gives you two concrete numbers to weigh up when choosing a printer: the resolution matters when you’re considering fine detail, while the speed figure is useful if you expect to print regularly. It’s listed as a photo printer, so it’s worth considering for home or personal printing where photographs are part of the job. The name is easy to remember; the figures are easier to compare. I’d look at both rather than letting the speed number make the decision on its own. If photo output is your priority, resolution will matter in your comparison too. The HP Smart Tank 7605 gives you a clear starting point, without asking you to choose between a named resolution and a stated print speed.

Putting the numbers to work

Think about what you print most often. For occasional photographs, you may care more about the resolution figure than the page-per-minute figure. If you expect a steady run of printing, the 28PPM figure gives you a speed measure to compare with other printers you’re considering. Those numbers describe different aspects of the printer, so it’s sensible to judge them against your own routine rather than treating one as a substitute for the other. The 4800x1200 resolution is a specific reference point for comparing print detail; 28PPM is a specific reference point for comparing pace. That’s a practical way to narrow your options before deciding whether this HP suits the balance you want from a photo printer.

For shoppers who want a model name and headline figures they can assess at a glance, the Smart Tank 7605 is straightforward to place on a shortlist. Match its stated resolution and speed to the work you actually expect it to do.
