Permajet Saturn Semi Gloss Canvas 350G Roll 17 Inches 12m

Permajet Saturn Semi Gloss Canvas 350G Roll 17 Inches 12m | A canvas roll for planned prints

When a print calls for canvas, a roll of ordinary photo paper won’t give you the surface you’re looking for. The Permajet Saturn Semi Gloss Canvas is a canvas roll with a semi-gloss finish, named for a 17-inch width and 12m length. It suits printmakers and photographers who have settled on canvas for a project and want to plan around a roll rather than individual sheets. The title also gives the weight as 350G, which is useful when you’re comparing it with other paper or canvas options. Its appeal is quite specific: this is for work where the canvas surface and semi-gloss finish are part of the brief. It’s a straightforward option to consider when those are the details you need; the product name doesn’t tell you how a particular image will look on it, so a test print can help you judge the result.

Planning your print

The 17-inch width gives you a clear starting point for working out the dimensions of your prints. Leave room in your layout for any trimming you expect to do. The 12m roll length can help you estimate how much material a project may use, though the number of prints you’ll get depends on their size and how you arrange them. That’s worth thinking through before you start a longer run.

In the product name, “canvas” identifies the material and “semi gloss” identifies the finish. If those are the characteristics you’re looking for, the name makes the choice easy to narrow down. The honest practical point is that roll length alone won’t tell you the final yield: your print dimensions and layout determine that. Use the stated measurements to plan the job, and allow for the material needed between prints or for finishing.
