Ulanzi CM010 Ceiling Mount Multifunctional w/ Magic Arm
Ulanzi CM010 Ceiling Mount Multifunctional w/ Magic Arm | Keep your workspace clear for overhead filming
Without a ceiling mount, an overhead camera view often means setting a stand beside your work area and making room around its legs. The Ulanzi CM010 takes a different route: it’s a tripod accessory designed as a ceiling mount, with a Magic Arm for positioning the camera from above. It suits creators who film tabletop demonstrations, product details, crafting, or other work where a view of the surface matters more than moving the camera around the room. It can also suit a fixed recording corner where you want the camera out of the workspace between sessions. The practical appeal is a clear area below the camera and a viewpoint aimed down at the subject. Plan the camera’s position around the shot you need, then use the arm to direct the view. It’s a focused mounting solution, rather than a general-purpose support for every shooting situation.
Specialist Note
A ceiling position does mean choosing the spot with your working area in mind; it isn’t as simple as rolling a stand to a new corner. Still, the CM010 makes sense when you want a repeatable top-down view without support legs taking up space beside the work. The ceiling mount gives you an overhead starting point, while the Magic Arm lets you aim the camera toward a product or work surface instead of treating the mounting point as the final framing. I’d suggest it for product demonstrations or hands-on tutorials: position it above the main area of action, then angle the camera down until the task is clearly in view. It’s best for a planned position, not frequent room-to-room changes.
