The Hawke Flip-Up Cover Metal Ocular is a metal cover that flips clear when you want to look through the ocular, then returns to cover it. It suits anyone who wants a cover that can be moved aside for viewing rather than taken off and set down each time. That’s useful when you alternate between looking through an optic and carrying on with another task, or when you’re packing equipment away. Its job is simple: cover the ocular when it isn’t in use. It doesn’t change the view through the optic, and it isn’t an optical accessory. The product title identifies it by size, so the size is an important part of this particular version. Choose the version that matches the ocular you intend to cover.

Specialist Note

One flip-up action is the practical idea here: move the metal cover clear to view, then flip it back over the ocular during a pause or before putting the equipment away. The metal construction gives this Hawke cover a firm format, rather than the feel of a soft sleeve. I’d suggest it to someone who regularly switches between viewing and setting their optic aside, especially if they prefer a cover that stays at the ocular instead of being handled as a separate loose cap. Use the flip-up movement for short breaks, and close the cover when you’re finished. The size version matters for getting the intended fit.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Hawke

Type: Flip-up ocular cover

Material: Metal
