The Shape ENGOFF ENG Style Camcorder Offset Rig is a black shoulder rig for this kind of handheld work. It’s suited to video makers who want support as part of their camera setup, rather than relying on an unsupported handheld position. Use it when a shot calls for staying with the camera for a stretch of time, or when you need to adjust your framing as the scene changes. The practical benefit is a more supported way to work handheld; the rig is for that specific purpose, not a substitute for a tripod when you need a fixed camera position. Its simple description says what it’s for: added support during handheld video, in a black finish.

Specialist Note

Handheld framing can become harder to manage when the camera has no support point; this rig gives you a shoulder-rig format for that job. I’d consider it for a one-camera interview or event coverage where you need to keep working handheld: place the camera in your intended shoulder position and use that support as you frame the subject. It’s aimed at video makers who want extra support without changing the basic handheld approach. The black colour keeps the setup visually low-key, which I find a sensible look for a working rig. It’s focused on handheld use, so choose a tripod instead when the shot needs the camera to stay fixed.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Shoulder rig

Intended use: Handheld video work with extra camera support

Colour: Black
