The Wooden Camera A00197 brings them together in one tripod accessory for Sony Venice 2 and Rialto 2 camera builds. Its defining feature is a dual clamp for 15mm rods, giving crews a specific way to incorporate paired rods into a rig built around these camera systems. It’s aimed at cinema professionals and rental departments assembling a configured camera package, rather than anyone looking for a general tripod part. The useful point is the combination: a top plate and rod-clamping provision in the same product. That makes it relevant when your Venice 2 or Rialto 2 setup calls for both a top-plate arrangement and 15mm dual-rod support. If your rig uses a different rod format or camera system, this is a very specific piece of hardware, not a universal solution.

Specialist Note

“Will this give my Venice 2 or Rialto 2 a dual 15mm rod clamp?” Yes—the A00197 is a top plate with that clamp built into the product. If your camera build calls for a pair of 15mm rods, this gives you a defined place to secure them as part of the top-plate setup; that’s handy when you’re organising a rod-supported accessory arrangement around either named camera system. I’d look at it for a Venice 2 or Rialto 2 rig that already follows the 15mm dual-rod format, rather than as a catch-all mounting part. The format is also its limit: it’s a focused solution for those camera systems and that rod arrangement.

Technical Specifications

Product kind: Tripod accessory

Product type: Top plate with dual rod clamp

Rod format: 15mm

Camera systems: Sony Venice 2, Sony Rialto 2

https://www.htf-store.com/de/products/wooden-camera-a00197-top-plate-15mm-dual-rod-clamp-sony-venice-2-rialto-2
