The Zacuto C500 MkII Recoil w/ Dual Trigger Grips is a shoulder rig for that kind of work, giving the camera extra support while you film. It’s intended for the Canon C500 MkII, and suits camera operators who need to work handheld rather than leave the camera on a support between takes. The dual trigger grips give you dedicated handholds as you work, while the shoulder-rig format is geared towards supporting the camera against your body. That makes this a focused piece of kit for handheld video: useful for maintaining a more supported working position during a take, especially when the camera needs to stay with the action. It isn’t a general-purpose tripod; its role is to support handheld operation.

Specialist Note

The paired trigger grips give this rig a distinct two-handed hold, which can make it easier to guide the C500 MkII while keeping your hands in position on the rig. As a shoulder rig, it’s meant to add support for handheld video, rather than turn the camera into a tripod setup. I’d consider it for an operator filming moving subjects or working through longer handheld takes, where a supported stance matters. The useful point is the combination of shoulder support and the dual grips in one purpose-built arrangement for the C500 MkII. It’s a focused solution, so it makes most sense if handheld video is the way you work.

Technical Specifications

Product type: Shoulder rig

Camera system: Canon C500 MkII

Grip configuration: Dual trigger grips

Typical use: Handheld video work requiring extra camera support
