It’s for camera crews and other users working with equipment that connects through D-Tap, when the existing lead needs extra reach. The male-to-female arrangement keeps the connection type clear: this cable extends a D-Tap lead rather than changing it to another connector. Use it to extend the run between a D-Tap power source and equipment with a matching connection, or to give a D-Tap cable more reach around a rig. The 90 cm length also offers some extra distance when the connected components can’t sit close together. Those are straightforward jobs, and that’s the point of this cable: a defined extension, with no additional connector format or function to complicate the setup. At 32 g, it adds little weight to a kit bag. The useful detail to check is the connector gender at each end, since it determines how the cable joins your existing D-Tap lead and equipment. FXLion lists this version as the FX-B01B02. It’s a simple accessory, but its exact length and male-to-female ends make it easier to identify the right extension for a D-Tap connection.

What it does

D-Tap extension: This cable extends a D-Tap connection, rather than converting it to a different connector type. That keeps its role clear in a power setup where the existing connection is already D-Tap.

Two-pin male connector: One end has a two-pin male connector. That gives the extension a defined connection point for joining a compatible female D-Tap connection.

Two-pin female connector: The opposite end is female, so the cable has one male and one female connector.
