ilford-2000d-enlarger-timer-eu
Ilford 2000D Enlarger Timer EU

Ilford 2000D Enlarger Timer EU | Timed control for darkroom enlarging

The Ilford 2000D Enlarger Timer EU is a darkroom timer made for use with an enlarger. It’s for photographers who make prints in a darkroom and want a timer suited to that part of the process. An enlarger timer’s job is to time the light exposure onto photographic paper; this model’s name makes that purpose clear. If you’re choosing equipment for a printing setup, the useful distinction here is simple: this is an enlarger timer, rather than a general-purpose camera accessory. The “EU” suffix is part of the product name, so it’s also easy to identify when comparing listings. Beyond that, the title gives no reason to assume extra functions, included accessories or a particular working method. That plain description is the honest one: a named Ilford timer for darkroom enlarging, for printers who need a timer in their setup.

For darkroom printing

In an enlarging workflow, exposure time is one of the choices that affects how a print turns out. A timer belongs at that stage: it’s there to time the enlarger’s exposure, so you can work with duration as part of making a print. This is relevant whether you’re assembling a darkroom setup or replacing a timer you already use. The product title identifies the 2000D as an enlarger timer, but doesn’t establish its controls, timing range or connections, so we won’t guess at those details. If those specifics matter for your setup, they’re worth confirming before you buy. What can be said clearly is that the Ilford 2000D Enlarger Timer EU is intended for darkroom enlarging, not for timing camera exposures in the field. It’s a focused piece of equipment for the print-making side of photography, where the enlarger is part of the process.

Technical Specifications

Product name: Ilford 2000D Enlarger Timer EU

Product type: Enlarger timer

Category: Accessories > Darkroom
