It’s aimed at Mini 3 owners who want more control over exposure when filming or photographing in bright conditions. An ND filter reduces the light reaching the camera, giving you room to choose a slower shutter speed without the image becoming too bright. The range of strengths lets you adjust that reduction to suit the light, rather than relying on a single filter strength. That’s particularly useful for daylight video, where keeping a consistent shutter setting can help motion look more natural. It also gives you options as brightness changes during a flight. The set’s appeal is straightforward: four clearly numbered levels for managing light on the DJI Mini 3. In dim conditions, though, an ND filter may reduce the light more than you want, so it’s sensible to choose the strength according to the scene.

Specialist Note

16 represents a four-stop reduction in light, so ND16 is the gentlest starting point in this set when the scene is bright but not blazing. The other labels—ND64, ND128 and ND256—give you stronger reductions as the light calls for them. For daylight video on the DJI Mini 3, I’d choose the lightest strength that lets you keep your preferred shutter setting; if the sun is stronger, move up through the set rather than letting exposure dictate a much faster shutter. It suits Mini 3 pilots who care about controlled motion in outdoor footage. One honest caveat: these filters take light away, so they’re less helpful as the day gets darker.

Technical Specifications

Product: PGYTECH DJI Mini 3 - ND Filter Set (ND16.64.128.256)

Category: Drones > Drone accessory

Filter strengths: ND16, ND64, ND128 and ND256

Drone named in product title: DJI Mini 3
