This black Tilta adapter is for filmmakers who are building a rig around separately chosen support and grip components, rather than looking for a complete support system. Its job is to make that connection between parts, giving a build another way to position rosette-compatible accessories. That can be especially useful when you want to arrange handles or other rig controls to suit your camera setup. The dual-rosette design gives you two rosette connection points to work with, while the LWS designation identifies the setup it is made to join. I’d look at it as a focused rig-building part: best for adding rosette links to a 15mm LWS build, not as a standalone handle or support.

Specialist Note

For cinematographers shooting handheld interviews or documentary scenes, this adapter makes sense when a rig needs rosette-linked grip components alongside a 15mm LWS build. I’d use it to bring a compatible rosette handle into that setup, then use the second rosette connection for another compatible component if the rig calls for it. That gives you more options when arranging the controls around your working position, without asking the adapter to do the job of a handle or support system. It’s a specific connector, so its value depends on having the matching parts you want to join; for a rosette-based rig, that focus is exactly the point.

Technical Specifications

Brand: Tilta

Model: Ta-Dra-15-B

Product type: Tripod accessory

Interface: 15mm LWS

Rosette connections: Dual

Colour: Black
