zgcine-usb-c-to-el17-dummy-battery-cable-pd-el17
ZGCINE USB-C To EL17 Dummy Battery Cable (PD-EL17)

ZGCINE USB-C To EL17 Dummy Battery Cable (PD-EL17) | Power your setup over USB-C

Power a camera setup through USB-C instead of using an EL17 battery in the camera: the ZGCINE USB-C To EL17 Dummy Battery Cable (PD-EL17) is a cable with a dummy battery connection at one end and USB-C at the other. It’s intended for a setup that accepts an EL17-style dummy battery and can be powered from a USB-C source. The practical benefit is a cable-based power connection, rather than relying on an EL17 battery for the camera’s power. That can suit a fixed or extended setup where you’d prefer to draw power from USB-C. The model name is worth keeping to hand when comparing cables: the EL17 designation identifies the dummy-battery side, while USB-C identifies the other connection. It’s a focused accessory, so its usefulness comes down to those two connections matching the equipment and power source you plan to use.

In use, the cable sits between a USB-C power source and the camera’s EL17 battery position. The dummy battery end takes the place of the battery; the cable itself is the link between that connection and USB-C. That makes the PD-EL17 a specific solution, rather than a general-purpose charging lead. If you’re setting up a camera where access to its battery compartment is part of the power arrangement, the EL17 end is the detail to pay attention to. Keep the model code with your setup notes if you use more than one cable: PD-EL17 points to this particular USB-C-to-EL17 format. It’s a straightforward bit of kit, and its value is in using the connection type named in the product rather than carrying an extra EL17 battery.

Technical Specifications

Product type: USB-C to EL17 dummy battery cable

USB connection: USB-C

Dummy battery designation: EL17

Model: PD-EL17
