Caruba Dummy Battery Fujifilm NP W235 D Tap Male

Caruba Dummy Battery Fujifilm NP W235 D Tap Male | Power through a D-Tap connection

Running out of room for another NP-W235 battery in a powered setup can be a nuisance. This Caruba dummy battery is made for a setup that uses the Fujifilm NP-W235 battery designation at the camera end and a D-Tap male connection at the power end. In other words, it’s a way to use a D-Tap power connection in place of the named battery type, rather than carry on swapping that battery during a session. It suits Fujifilm users whose power arrangement is already built around D-Tap, and is most relevant when you want the camera’s power to come through that connection. The title identifies the battery type and connector, so those are the two details to match against your intended setup. It’s a specific link between two power formats, not a general-purpose battery.

Matching it to your setup

With a product like this, the useful question is how the power route is arranged from end to end. The battery designation tells you what the dummy battery is intended to take the place of; the connector wording tells you what kind of connection is on the other end. Both need to make sense for the setup you plan to use. D-Tap male describes the plug end, so consider the connection it will meet rather than relying on a similar-looking camera accessory or a familiar battery name alone. That small check can prevent ordering a cable that doesn’t fit into the power arrangement you have in mind. Keep the decision grounded in those identifiers: this product is specifically named for NP-W235 and D-Tap male, and that is the basis for choosing it.
