VIJIM VL120 RGB Multi Colour LED-Video Light

VIJIM VL120 RGB Multi Colour LED-Video Light | Add colour to video lighting

Give your video frame a coloured-light accent, or keep the scene lit with a straightforward LED video light. The VIJIM VL120 is an RGB multi-colour light for people making video who want colour to be part of the image, rather than relying on the surroundings to provide it. That could mean adding a coloured area to a talking-head shot, giving a product scene a different feel, or bringing a little visual distinction to a short social video. Its appeal is simple: it brings RGB colour and LED lighting together in one video light. If you’re choosing gear for a particular setup, think first about the look you want to create; the name tells you this is a colour-capable light, not which exact shade will suit your scene. It’s a focused tool for shaping the colour in your frame.

Colour as part of the picture

Coloured illumination can change the mood of a video without changing the subject or the location. Use it as a visible part of the scene, or place colour in the background to give the frame a different feel. The VIJIM VL120’s RGB, multi-colour description makes that kind of approach its natural territory. It may appeal to solo creators working through a range of simple video setups, as well as anyone who wants colour available when an ordinary-looking scene needs a visual accent. The practical consideration is your intended shot: colour is most effective when it has a purpose in the frame, even if that purpose is simply to make a plain background feel less plain. This light is named for video use and coloured LED output, so the useful question is what you want the audience to notice. Keep the idea clear, and the light has a defined role in the scene.
