Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter PRO Olympus And Panasonic
Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter PRO Olympus And Panasonic | Trigger off-camera flash
More deliberate light in your portraits and product photos starts with being able to fire a flash off-camera. The Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter PRO is a flash trigger for Olympus and Panasonic camera systems, made to send that firing command to an off-camera flash. It suits photographers who want to place their light away from the camera rather than rely on a flash mounted on it. For portraits, that gives you the option to position the light to shape how your subject is lit; for product work, you can arrange the flash around the item and trigger it while making the picture. It’s a focused tool for working with off-camera flash, not a flash unit that lights the scene by itself. If your work includes portraits or small product setups, it gives you a direct way to trigger your lighting from the camera.
Specialist Note
One transmitter gives you a clear job to do: fire an off-camera flash from your Olympus or Panasonic camera system. For a portrait, place the flash off to one side of your subject, then use the transmitter to trigger it as you make the picture; that lets you work with light coming from beside the camera. For product shots, position the flash to light the item and trigger it from your camera rather than reaching over to the flash each time. I’d consider this when you already work with off-camera flash and want a dedicated trigger. One honest point: this transmitter sends the firing command; it doesn’t provide the light itself.
