Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Grid RX-120HC For RX-120TDX

Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Grid RX-120HC For RX-120TDX | Keep light more directed

Keep light on your subject and limit spill into the rest of the scene with a honeycomb grid. The Falcon Eyes Honeycomb Grid RX-120HC is made for the RX-120TDX, giving photographers and filmmakers a way to direct the light from that setup more deliberately. It’s useful when you want a lit face or object to read clearly against a darker background, or when nearby areas of the scene should stay less affected by the light. A grid won’t change the subject you choose or the way you position the light, so placement still matters. Think of it as a way to make the light’s reach more controlled, rather than a replacement for adjusting your setup. If you’re working with the RX-120TDX and want tighter control over where its light falls, this is the specific accessory to consider.

When a honeycomb grid helps

In a small room, stray light can brighten a wall or background that you’d rather keep subdued. In a portrait, you may want the light to fall on your subject without spreading as broadly around the scene. A honeycomb grid is intended to help direct light in a more contained way, which can make those choices easier to explore. The result depends on how you position the light and arrange the subject and background; the grid doesn’t make that decision for you.

For a simple test, take one frame with the grid in place and compare it with your usual setup. Look at the edges of the lit area and the background, then adjust the light’s position to suit the scene. That’s a practical way to see whether more directed light helps with your particular shot. This accessory is specifically named for the RX-120TDX, so it suits a setup built around that model. If your aim is broad, even coverage across a scene, a grid may not be the effect you want; its purpose is to help keep light more contained. A straightforward tool, then, for shaping where the RX-120TDX’s light goes.
