Ulanzi LC-R18015 Reflector 7" w/ Bowens Mount | Direct light in compact setups

The Ulanzi LC-R18015 pairs a 7-inch reflector with a Bowens mount, giving it a focused role in a lighting setup: directing light onto a chosen part of a scene. It suits photographers and video makers working with tabletop subjects, close details or a defined area in a set, particularly when broad coverage isn’t the aim. Use it to redirect light toward a shadowed side or a specific part of your subject; adjusting the light’s position and angle changes where that illumination falls. Its compact format makes it practical to position in a tight setup. This is a specialist accessory for controlling local light, rather than a general solution for lighting an entire scene. If you want to shape light around a small subject and your setup uses a Bowens mount, this reflector has a clear, practical purpose.

Specialist Note

My verdict: the Ulanzi LC-R18015 is best for directing light onto a small area without adding a large reflector to your setup. At 7 inches, its coverage is compact, so I’d use it for a tabletop product or a close detail, aiming the light toward the part of the subject that needs lift and adjusting the angle until the shadow opens where you want it. The Bowens mount makes it relevant to a light built around that fitting; it isn’t a universal attachment. I’d choose a larger reflector when the job is to illuminate a broad background evenly.
