Varta Power Bank Energy 10000mAh

Varta Power Bank Energy 10000mAh: Keep USB devices charged away from home

A phone running low on a train or a tablet losing power during a trip is where the Varta Power Bank Energy 10000mAh earns its place. Its 10,000mAh capacity is enough for approximately 2.5 smartphone charges or 1.2 tablet charges, according to the supplied product information. It can charge up to three devices at the same time, handy when you’re carrying a phone, tablet and another USB device. Varta lists tablets and laptops among compatible devices, so it can serve as a portable power source for more than a phone. The four-port layout includes both charging inputs and outputs, and the textured plastic casing has a sturdier feel than a smooth, slippery shell. Four white LEDs show the remaining battery level at a glance. It’s a straightforward travel companion; just note that the supplied cable is micro USB.

Ports, Capacity & Protection

• 10,000mAh capacity: The power bank is rated at 10,000mAh / 3.7V. That capacity is specified as around 2.5 smartphone charges or 1.2 tablet charges, giving you a useful reference for a trip away from a wall socket.
• Four connection ports: It has one micro USB port, two USB-A ports and one USB-C port. Micro USB and USB-C serve as inputs; USB-C and both USB-A ports provide outputs for charging your devices.
• Charge up to three devices at once: Multiple outputs mean you can share the power bank between devices, rather than waiting for one to finish before connecting another. It’s useful when more than one device needs a top-up during a journey.
• Textured plastic casing: The casing has a textured surface and a sturdy construction. That finish gives you a more secure-feeling grip when taking the power bank out of a bag or handling it on the move.
• Battery-level LEDs and built-in safeguards: Four white LEDs indicate the remaining charge. An internal NTC temperature sensor and protection against overcharging, current surges, excessive voltage and short circuits add safeguards while connected devices are charging.

Good to know

The power bank measures 73 × 138 × 15mm and weighs 233g. That slim 15mm profile is easy to account for in a bag, while the weight is worth considering if you’re keeping it in a pocket. It arrives with a micro USB cable, so there’s a cable in the box for charging the power bank through its micro USB input.
