Tilta MB-T15-RSK 15mm Rod Support Kit For Mini Clamp-On Matte Box | Added support for handheld video

For handheld video work where the camera needs extra support, a shoulder rig can help you build a more supported setup for filming interviews or following action. The Tilta MB-T15-RSK 15mm Rod Support Kit For Mini Clamp-On Matte Box is a shoulder rig made for use with Tilta’s Mini Clamp-On Matte Box. Its 15mm rod support gives the kit a specific role in that setup: supporting the matte box as part of a handheld rig. That makes it a focused option for video makers who want the matte box included in their camera setup while working handheld. It’s best suited to that job, rather than being a general-purpose support kit for any rig. If your filming involves handheld takes and you use the named matte box, this kit is designed around those needs.

Specialist Note

This kit gives the Mini Clamp-On Matte Box dedicated support within a handheld rig. The 15mm rod format is useful because it defines how the support is arranged around that matte box; it’s not just a general shoulder support with no specific role. As a shoulder rig, it’s aimed at video work where you want extra support while operating by hand. I’d consider it for an interview setup or a short follow shot, especially if keeping the matte box in your handheld rig is part of the plan. The honest limitation is its specific purpose: it’s for the Mini Clamp-On Matte Box, so it makes most sense when that’s the setup you’re building.
