Tilta Ta-Nea-L-B Left Side Nato Extension Attachment - Black
Tilta Ta-Nea-L-B Left Side Nato Extension Attachment - Black | Add Support to Handheld Video
Handheld video calls for extra support when you’re working with a shoulder rig. The Tilta Ta-Nea-L-B Left Side Nato Extension Attachment - Black is a shoulder-rig attachment for operators who want to extend the left side of their setup. Its job is specific: it gives you a left-side NATO extension to work into your rig, rather than acting as a standalone stabiliser or complete shoulder rig. That makes it relevant to solo camera operators and small video crews shooting interviews, events or documentary footage handheld. It’s best suited to building a more supported handheld setup around the way you operate. If you’re putting together a shoulder rig for video work and need an extension on its left side, this Tilta attachment is made for that role.
Planning Your Rig
Think about the extension as one part of a larger handheld setup. Arrange the shoulder rig around your operating position and the kind of footage you need to capture, then consider whether an extension on the left side fits that arrangement. For a seated interview, that might mean setting up before the conversation begins; for moving event coverage, it means planning the rig around handheld operation. The attachment has a defined place in that workflow, but it isn’t a complete support solution on its own.
Specialist Note
A shoulder setup can feel short of support when you need to build out its left side. This Tilta gives you a defined NATO extension attachment for that position, so you can plan the rig around a left-side extension rather than treating the setup as fixed. I’d consider it for handheld interviews or moving event coverage: arrange the shoulder rig for your operating position, then work this one attachment into the left side. It suits someone refining an existing shoulder-rig setup, not someone expecting a complete rig in one item. That’s the practical limit too: it’s an attachment, so it belongs within a larger rig.
