7Artisans 7 Artisans 10mm f/3.5 APS-C Clicked - Fujifilm FX-Mount
7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 APS-C Clicked – Fujifilm X-mount | Fit more of the scene in frame
Wide landscapes and tall buildings can fit into a single frame without you having to step far back. This 7Artisans interchangeable ultra-wide prime is made for Fujifilm X-mount APS-C cameras, with a 10mm focal length and an estimated 110° angle of view. That broad view is useful when you want to show the shape of a room, the sweep of a coastline or the full face of a building. It’s a manual-focus lens, so you set focus yourself rather than relying on autofocus; that suits considered compositions where you have time to place the important details. For architecture, keep the camera level when you want walls to look upright, and use the generous view to include more of the building around them. It’s a specialist perspective, rather than an everyday focal length, but one that can make tight spaces and expansive scenes easier to frame.
Specialist Note
The 7Artisans 10mm f/3.5 is at its best when you want a broad landscape or building to fill the frame. On a Fujifilm X APS-C body, its view is roughly equivalent to a 15mm lens on full frame, so check the edges of your composition for objects that can look stretched when they’re close to the camera. The f/3.5 maximum aperture is handy when the light is reasonable, but I’d use a tripod or raise ISO for evening interiors rather than expect it to behave like a fast low-light lens. Its clicked aperture adjustment gives you deliberate steps as you set exposure. I’d recommend it to someone who enjoys taking time over manual focus and careful framing.
