7Artisans Infinte 35mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked PL Mount | A flexible prime for filmmaking

The 7Artisans Infinte 35mm T2.1 FullFrame DE-Clicked PL Mount is a 35mm T2.1 prime for filmmakers who want a manual-focus lens for full-frame video work. Its PL mount makes it suited to productions built around PL-mount cameras, from carefully planned dialogue scenes to documentary setups where a natural standard-lens perspective is useful. The 35mm focal length gives you room to include a subject and some of their surroundings without making the scene feel especially wide. With a maximum aperture of T2.1, it also gives you flexibility when setting exposure for available light or choosing a shallower depth of field. The de-clicked design is aimed at video use, where audible or visible aperture steps can interrupt a shot. This is a focused tool for operators who are comfortable setting focus themselves and want a standard prime with a bright maximum aperture for controlled filmmaking.

Specialist Note

Exposure gives you more room to work at T2.1, which can help when a scene is dim and you want to keep the lighting restrained. For a close dialogue setup, I’d start with the 35mm view, open the iris as needed, then rehearse the manual focus move so the subject stays sharp as they shift. The de-clicked iris is useful when you need to adjust exposure during a take without stepped aperture changes drawing attention to themselves. It’s best suited to a crew or solo filmmaker who’s happy to manage focus deliberately. One honest point: manual focus asks for attention, so this isn’t the pick for hands-off operation.
