Filmsticks ClapperBoard Medium Kit (USA Edition)

Filmsticks ClapperBoard Medium Kit (USA Edition) | A clear slate for production work

Filmsticks ClapperBoard Medium Kit (USA Edition) is the Medium Kit version designated for the USA Edition. It’s intended for film and video crews who use a clapperboard to identify takes and give the camera and sound team a shared sync point. At the start of a take, a slate can make the scene and take easy to see in the recorded image, while the clap provides a distinct moment for lining up picture and sound. That makes this kit most relevant on organised shoots where footage will be reviewed, edited and matched with recorded audio. It’s a working tool for the set, rather than an accessory for making the camera itself easier to use. If you’re choosing a slate, the useful question is whether this edition and the Medium Kit designation suit the way your production works. The title gives you those identifiers clearly.

A working reference on set

A clapperboard helps turn a stream of recorded takes into material a crew can identify later. The written slate is a visible reference in the shot; the clap gives an editor a brief, recognisable sync point in the audio. In practice, that simple handoff can make it easier to match a take with its sound recording and keep notes aligned with what was filmed. It’s especially relevant when several takes are recorded and the crew needs a consistent way to distinguish them. The slate’s value is straightforward: it supports clear communication during filming and gives post-production a reference to work from. It won’t replace good shot notes or careful sound recording, but it has a specific, familiar role in the production workflow. Filmsticks names this one as a Medium Kit and a USA Edition, so those are the identifiers to use when discussing the product with your crew.
